[Manchester, 7th October 2024] - Project RECCE CIO, a national charity dedicated to supporting the UK military community, is proud to announce the launch of its groundbreaking Employment Rendezvous (ERV) app. Now available on iTunes and soon to be launched on Google Play, ERV is a professional social media platform designed to connect UK military veterans with forces-friendly employers.
Developed in collaboration with JP Morgan Chase & Co through their annual Tech for Social Good programme, ERV addresses the unique employment challenges faced by the military community. The app is free to join for military veterans, service leavers, reservists, cadet force adult volunteers, and military spouses.
Key features of the ERV app include:
Professional profile creation with CV upload capability
Live feed for real-time updates and interactions
Dedicated jobs page showcasing relevant opportunities
Community groups for networking and support
Media download area for resources and information
News section to keep users informed about relevant topics
"ERV is more than just an app; it's a bridge between the invaluable skills of our military community and the employers who recognise their potential," said John Davies, Chief of Operations at Project RECCE CIO. "We're excited to see the positive impact this platform will have on the lives of those who have served our country."
Exclusive Opportunity for Employers
In a move to strengthen connections between the military community and potential employers, ERV is offering a limited-time opportunity for companies:
Until April 2025, companies can join the platform for free and immediately begin engaging with a captive audience.
To participate, companies must sign the Armed Forces Covenant and self-certify as Bronze MOD Employer Recognition Scheme award holders.
Following the free trial period, a monthly donation will be applied to support the ongoing mission of Project RECCE CIO.
This initiative aims to create a robust network of forces-friendly employers committed to supporting and hiring from the military community.
